easy-to-swallow capsules.
AdvaCAL Ultra Fast Release by LaneLabs, is a bone-building calcium supplement
that contains patented ionic AAACa calcium plus 7 other bone building nutrients.
AAACa has significantly increased average bone density in multiple clinical
studies. Capsules are small and easy to swallow.
AdvaCAL is Unique
AdvaCAL is a patented, ionic calcium. It starts
out as oyster shell, which is then smelted at 800° C. Smelting changes the
chemical structure of oyster shell from calcium carbonate to calcium oxide and
calcium hydroxide. The superheating process removes nearly all of the heavy
metals, such as lead, found in oyster shell. The end result is a highly
absorbable calcium that can supply all the daily needs of your heart and nervous
system with a surplus left to build bone density.
Clinical research shows that AAACa calcium has a second bone benefit: it
helps modulate PTH (parathyroid hormone) secretions, which can needlessly
deplete calcium from bone. As a final step, the calcium in AdvaCAL is
potentiated with HAI (Heated Algal Ingredient). HAI is a patented amino acid
complex from super-heated hijiki seaweed. Tiny amounts of HAI have been
scientifically shown to further elevate calcium oxide & calcium hydroxide
absorption.
Calcium oxide/calcium hydroxide + HAI provides superior calcium absorption
and PTH modulation. This combination has shown consistent increases in bone
density in clinical research. These two patented ingredients are only available
in AdvaCAL.
AdvaCAL Ultra is an excellent calcium supplement for women of all ages and
men concerned about their bone health. Three tiny capsules twice daily helps
build stronger bones for life.
Adequate calcium with vitamin D as part of a healthful diet throughout
life, along with physical activity, may reduce the risk of osteoporosis in later
life
What is AdvaCAL?
AdvaCAL is a line of calcium supplements
containing AAACa calcium, the #1 bone building calcium. AAACa, a patented ionic
calcium, has been clinically shown to increase bone density. AAACa calcium is
available in AdvaCAL 1000, AdvaCAL Ultra 1000 and AdvaCAL INTENSIVE. AdvaCAL is
the natural, safe way to fight bone loss.
Who should take AdvaCAL?
Women and men concerned about bone loss
would benefit most from AdvaCAL. Bone loss begins typically around age 35 and
accelerates dramatically in women at menopause.
Can AdvaCAL help increase bone density?
Yes. In one study, average
bone density of postmenopausal women and men taking AdvaCAL increased 8% over
those taking a placebo. Your results may vary.
How is AdvaCAL unique?
AdvaCAL is the only line of calcium
supplements with AAACa calcium, the #1 bone building calcium. The AAACa calcium
in AdvaCAL has shown statistically significant improvement in bone density in
four different, published human studies. Participants in that research included
women and men in their 60s and women in their 80s. In those studies, there was
bone density improvement starting at 4 months, up to 3 years.
How does AdvaCAL work?
AdvaCAL works at least two ways to increase
bone density. First, the AAACa calcium in AdvaCAL is highly absorbable. AAACa
calcium is patented and comprised of bioavailable calcium oxide and calcium
hydroxide plus a seaweed amino extract called HAI. In scientific research HAI
improved calcium absorption. Second, AAACa calcium helps modulate PTH hormone
activity. PTH robs calcium from bone.
Which AdvaCAL is right for me?
AdvaCAL is available as AdvaCAL
1000, AdvaCAL Ultra 1000 and AdvaCAL INTENSIVE. AdvaCAL 1000 and AdvaCAL Ultra
provide 1000 mg of AAACa elemental calcium and 1000 IU of Vitamin D3 daily.
Either is appropriate for women under 50 and men of any age. AdvaCAL Ultra 1000
also contains seven bone nutrients, including magnesium, vitamins K2 and C,
copper, zinc, boron and manganese. AdvaCAL INTENSIVE is designed especially for
women 50+, as bone loss accelerates at menopause and beyond. AdvaCAL INTENSIVE
contains more AAACa calcium, more vitamin D3 plus two clinically proven bone
builders?genistein and a specific blend of copper, zinc and manganese.
Is AdvaCAL more effective with added magnesium?
Not necessarily. A
study published in the 1999 American Journal of Nutrition suggests that the bone
benefit of magnesium results from its alkalinity (i.e. high pH). Because the
AAACa calcium in AdvaCAL is already highly alkaline, it likely offers the same
alkalinity bone benefit as magnesium. Those who desire to take magnesium with
their AdvaCAL should use AdvaCAL Ultra 1000 which contains 600 mg of magnesium
per daily serving.
What are the directions for use?
Take 3 capsules in the morning and
3 capsules at bedtime, preferably with food. PTH activity, which robs calcium
from bone, is believed to be most active during sleep, so taking AdvaCAL before
bed can be especially beneficial. Some research also suggests that calcium may
enhance sleep.
When could I see a change in bone density from taking AdvaCAL?
The
clinical research on AAACa calcium in AdvaCAL showed an increase in trabecular
bone density in as little as four months.1 Studies with AAACa Calcium on spinal
or radial bone density showed significant improvement at 6, 12, 18, 24 and 36
months. The addition of vitamin D3, plus bone nutrients or builders in AdvaCAL
1000, AdvaCAL ULTRA or AdvaCAL INTENSIVE may help improve your overall bone
density. The best way to monitor improvement is through bone density tests as
recommended by your doctor.
What other lifestyle changes can I make to improve my bone
health?
Most experts recommend that you: 1) Engage in regular
weight-bearing and muscle strengthening exercise (three or more times weekly) 2)
Avoid smoking and excessive alcohol 3) Talk to your health care provider about
bone health 4) Have a bone density test done regularly .
Are AdvaCAL capsules large?
No. Some calcium supplements are
available as large horse pills. Other calcium chewables are chalky tasting.
AdvaCAL 1000, AdvaCAL Ultra 1000 and AdvaCAL INTENSIVE capsules are all small
and easy to swallow. The smallest is the AdvaCAL 1000 capsule.
Are there any side effects?
AdvaCAL calcium is safe and well
tolerated by most people. People with chronic granulomatous disorders may wish
to consult with a physician first if concerned about the vitamin D in AdvaCAL.
There also are many side benefits to taking AdvaCAL. Published studies suggest
that calcium intake can improve sleep, balance and weight management, better
secure teeth and reduce PMS symptoms.
Can AdvaCAL be taken with Prescription drugs for Osteoporosis such as
Fosamax®, Evista® or Actonel®?
Yes.
Can I take AdvaCAL if I am pregnant or nursing?
Generally, yes but
we recommend consulting with your doctor first.
Is AdvaCAL free of gluten and dairy?
Yes.
